ACTION
LEARNING
We feel that it would be both inappropriate
and ineffective to invite senior managers into a training room to
be taught how to be a good leader! Yet even people holding a senior
leadership position within an organisation, or perhaps running a
small company themselves, will benefit from a leadership
development approach that is designed for their particular role,
responsibilities and status.
One particular approach that has proved
especially successful for such people is Action
Learning - a form of 'learning by doing' that brings
managers together into a group, facilitated by an external
specialist, to work on real work-place problems they have brought
to the group. The success of Action Learning stems
from the fact that participants learn best with, and from, one
another as they each tackle their own problem and assist others to
find workable solutions to theirs. Click here to read
Alan Cutler's article on how it be used as an approach to
leadership development for senior managers from the hospitality
industry.

Action Learning in the form of:
- In-house programmes for managers from a single, large
hospitality company or organisation
- Open programmes for managers working within a number of large
hospitality companies or organisations
- Open programmes for business owners of SMEs
